Mother's Day Brunch: Ham and Asparagus Strata

April 29, 2015

A strata is a layered casserole, similar to bread pudding.  This dish can be prepared either sweet or savory and is extremely versatile.  If you are an impatient cook or have impatient eaters to feed, a strata becomes the perfect meal option (especially for breakfast).  There is no thinking required for this recipe.  Essentially, all the ingredients are thrown together in a casserole dish and baked for an hour - no fancy equipment or advanced cooking skills required.  You and your family will love how quickly and effortlessly this meal comes together.
