How Jordin Sparks Lost 50 Pounds

Jordin Sparks covers the latest issue of Shape magazine where she reveals how she lost 50 pounds. The 21-year-old singer said she realized she needed a change when she had pneumonia. As soon as she recovered, Sparks changed her diet, began working out and now works with a trainer. 

"I stop [eating] now when I'm full. I love food and I love to eat," Sparks said. "My thing was, do I really need seconds or do I want it just because it tastes good?" 

Sparks is not one who wants to spend hours at the gym, so she turned to Zumba for exercises that worked for her. 

"My mom's best friend is a Zumba instructor and I loved it," she said. "I started with walking then went to jogging and then Zumba. I started [working with a trainer] and we did 30 minutes of circuit training so I didn't feel like I needed to be in the gym for two hours."
