Thirsty Thursdays: Strawberry Peach Sangria

This strawberry peach sangria is the perfect drink during the summertime.  Chunks of peaches and strawberries are muddled to release their fruity flavors and then mixed with a crisp white wine (preferably Sauvignon Blanc) and a dash of peach schnapps (go for the good stuff).  This cocktail is light and refreshing- just what you want to sip on a hot day.

Strawberry Peach Sangria


1 ripe doughnut, UFO peach; pitted, pealed & quartered
4 fresh strawberries, quartered
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
½ cup Lynfred Peach Wine
¼ cup Sauvignon Blanc
1 ounce Peach Schnapps
Sprite or 7-up to top off
In a cocktail shaker, add the peach and strawberries; muddle with sugar breaking up the fruit.
Add both wines & schnapps to shaker. Fill the shaker half way with ice. Shake to combine.
Pour over ice in high ball/Collins glass; Top off with Sprite & garnish with a strawberry.
